The Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) Presidential Candidate Gen. Mugisha Muntu, has asked the people of Ntungamo district not to vote for him basing on his roots in the area but rather his esteemed credentials. 

Muntu was born in Ntungamo District, In Kitunga Village in 1958. He has been combing the district as part of his electoral journey in the search for votes come 2021. 

He said if the people of Ntungamo feel he is the right person and committed to taking the country in the right direction then they should vote him.

“People of Ntungamo, do not vote for me because I come from Ntungamo. Vote for me if you feel within your hearts that you can trust me because I can be trusted” he said.

Muntu added that he has a legacy and boasted of never stealing taxpayers’ money even when he was the army commander at a time when the army had weak systems.

 Muntu had a procession through Ntungamo municipality with about 100 Boda Boda riders accompanying him, and as he opened ANT offices in Ntungamo municipality. He promised his supporters that once voted into power,  Ntungamo will be one of the most respected districts.


Muntu continues with his campaign in Ntungamo on the 12th November and will meet his supporters in Kajara and Rushenyi counties and later proceed to Rwamapara and Mitooma districts.
